In the year 1977 Adv. T.P.M. Ibrahim Khan got acquainted to MK.Kamaludheen during the Thubleeh Conference. As per his desire founder of Al-Ameen, Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, came to Kochi, and encouraged a group of like minded people that included Ex-mayor of Cochin Sri. A.A. Kochunni Master, Adv. M. V. Ibrahim Kutty, Sri. A.M. Ali Muhammed, Sri. M. M. Abdul Rahiman, to start a fundamental educational institution in Cochin. It was their decision to name this institution Al-Ameen Residential Public School. The initial functioning of the institution started with the help of Rs. 50,000 donated by Dr. MumtazAhamed Khan.
The trust was registered under the Indian Trust Act, 1882 and the following founder members, A.A. Kochunni Master, M.V, Ibrahim Kutty, Moulana Muhammed Ibrahim, A.A. Ali Muhammed, M.M. Abdul Rahman, Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan along with Ibrahim Khan were there in the forefront in the development of the institution.
Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of Edatahala Campus
Acquiring 25 acres of land in Edathala of Ernakulam District and establishing an arts and science college was an important milestone in the history of the Al-Ameen Trust.
Today, it is a model institution under mahatma Gandhi University in the field of higher education.
Laying the foundation stone of Al-Ameen Educational Complex was done by the then Libyan ambassador Al- Mugriaz. The meeting was presided over by central minister Sri. P.M. Syed.
The success achieved by the 1st Secondary batch of the Edappally Al-Ameen Public School created history at the national level. Al-Ameen Public School had the privilege and honour of achieving 100% pass with first class among all the Muslim Schools of the minority community in India. The then Chief Minister Shri. K.Karunakaran was also there at Al-Ameen to celebrate their Success
There after it was a period of growth for the Al-Ameen Trust. Al-Ameen lTC, Edathala , Al-Ameen International Public School Edathala, Al-Ameen Publlc School Chandiroor, Al-Ameen Public School Sreemoolanagaram, Al-Ameen Public School Kaloor, stand testimony to the grand success of Al-Ameen. The latest addition AL-Ameen Cheraman Malik Public School, established at the historically famous township of Kodungallur inaugurated in the year.
The focus of Al - Ameen Educational Institutions is to inculcate moral and religious education along with the basic and fundamental education. Children belonging to different religions seek education here. Al-Ameen Public school, Edappally is functioning with separate hostel facilities for boys and girls.
